In mid-July we set up our booth at the Hotel Ponce Hilton for the Convention of the Colegio de Ópticos de Puerto Rico. More than 200 licensed members attended, and for us it was the best excuse of the year to talk with the people who dispense our lenses every day.
We brought VISIVA PRO, our lens with Binocular Harmonization Technology, and spent the days explaining why 70 % of presbyopes need something other than a standard progressive. We also took the chance to see the new equipment and tracing technology on display, and to sit in on the workshops.
What we took away was not a sale: it was the questions. Difficult adaptation cases, doubts about delivery times, complicated prescriptions someone did not know how to solve. That is what ends up changing how we manufacture.
