PR Optics was founded in May 2022. Although we are relatively new, our founders have decades of combined experience in the medical field and deep knowledge of the needs of patients and optical practices.
We are manufacturers. We manufacture 100% of our digital lenses at our facilities in Caguas. We are not middlemen. This allows us to control quality and guarantee delivery times.
Our quality is backed by state-of-the-art technology, rigorous control of each lens, and verifiable metrics: <1% remake rate (vs. 3-5% for the industry), 1-year warranty on AR coating, and 90-day adaptation period for progressive lenses.
Our current mission is to serve Puerto Rico’s optical practices with excellence. We have no immediate plans for external expansion — we prefer to deepen our local presence and be the best laboratory on the island.
